I saw these in a picture. Looks like a copperhed pattern with a liner lock and some kind of thumb opener. Maybe a nice combo of traditional and modern? Anyone tried one?

Haven't tried one, but it looks OK. I don't think I like that thumb stud though. It takes away from the looks of the knife.

Magician, here is a copy of my
post about the copperliner.

You participated in the thread,
speaking of the Kershaw Double Cross.

Boker linerlock, not quit right...
I just received a Boker Copperliner that
I ordered over the internet. This knife
is a traditional looking (jigged bone)
single blade copperhead that
has a linerlock and a plastic
thumb stud (3 3/4"). It is a
great looking little knife, but I
have one problem with it. The Joint
is so tight and the handle so small
that it is impossible to open
with one hand. I have oiled it,
but that did not loosen it enough.
Now that I've seen and used this knife,
I have decided I would much prefer it
without the Cheap looking plastic stud
and with a nail nick. The linerlock
works great.

I quess they were trying to combine
the latest craze with the great
Style of a traditional pattern.

Anyone else had experience with
this knife or something similar?
How long has this knife been of
the market?

Rebus777,
Thanks for reminding me and posting your thread. I was afraid it would be that way. I did not like the Double Cross for that reason.
I don't think a liner lock is the answer to this one. If you use it, the detent must be super strong to keep the blade closed while bouncing around your pocket. That makes the thumb opener on a small blade very difficult to use. Maybe a "copperlock" with a thumb opener. The lockback may work better than the liner lock. Perhaps we should just carry that stockman and that tactical together.
