Boker Copperliners - Questions

My favorite knife to collect is the Boker Copperliner from Solingen, Germany. If I had to pick one knife to carry, this would be it. Just right for my office slacks or my field cargo pants, and easy one-hand opening.

However, I believe that I have noticed a difference in the quality of Copperliners that I have purchased online. One of the differences is the spring/spine (one-piece steel spring versus two-piece steel spring). Also, the attention to detail seems to vary. I also noticed several different part/serial numbers (BK4610, BK4614, BO4610, 114610, 114611, etc) on boxes and online for essentially two styles (red bone handles or stag). Can anyone tell me how to decipher these Copperliner numbers? And, more importantly, is there a top quality line and a medium quality line of knives that I need to be aware of as I continue to collect these knives?

Thanks,
Kyle
