Boker Coye ridgeback

As far as I know they are continuously sold out. Keep trying! I hear that it is a sweet knife. Try to find the original too if you have the spare coin.

I just ordered the "Bead Blast" version from bladehq, not the exclusive, but should still be nice.

Thats a really cool little knife. Wish they would use D2 or 154cm instead of 440C though, even if Bökers 440C isn't bad

Good question!
I am planning on belt carry for the weekends, and will be looking for a leather sheath for that. As far as weekdays; I am thinking about slipping it into a dungaree pants pocket so everyone at work will not have to see it.
Thanks

Good one, I have similar plans myself. =) Enjoy your new ridgeback.

From what I understand 440C is a very good all around steel and that nobody does it better than Boker. I have the Vox Ripley in 440C and it is a monster - chopping down trees and still blazing sharp afterward -

440C is awesome stuff - I would not let that stop me from buying this beautiful little knife

I have been using mine all week on a flooring project at home. It has been performing great. The Kydex sheath actually fits very well. The clip, however, may not make it through the project. It is pretty flimsy and the star screws do not tighten onto a smaller width belt.

I would definitely buy one with a different steel if the chance ever presented itself just because I think it is a great design. But, this 440C will most likely do everything I will ever ask of it.

PS, sorry about the multiple replies, I could not figure out how to get them all in a single post, being a newb and all :D

Just ordered one from the River store yesterday, also Blad HQ still has some. The $100 Blade HQ Elite exclusive says are expected middle of July so anytime maybe?

Please post pictures!

I remember reading somewhere that Tom Krein was custom crafting the kydex for the Boker version. It sounds crazy so maybe I was dreaming? Or not!

:)

I've been really happy with mine since I got it earlier this year.

The only negative I would mention is the sheath, not the best retention, but I remedied that by getting a custom OD green kydex sheath made by our very own "defaultuser"

That looks like a good setup. I ordered the one from Armadillo, and I am still waiting on that. I put together the original Boker sheath using a large Blade Tech clip this morning. Much better than the oem clip. Although that was another $15 added to the original price.
