Just wanted to post a quick word about the Boker Coye Ridgeback.....I'm still working out posting better pictures, so those will follow. My review is simple.......and I carry fixed blades for a living.......they are solid, dependable, fill the hand and have great ergonomics!! I purchased both the regular and elite series....along with a Linos Kydex sheath for scout carry........that is just a great addition. The knife disappears on the belt while still being there at a moments notice when needed. I have the Boker BOB that I carry as well.....just for reference........I'm a huge Boker fan!! Great knives......don't hesitate if you like the design....it won't disappoint.

I looked into these when I was trying to find a good fixed blade for EDC. Maybe I'll take another look.

Yes, but you need a tek lock. I prefer the Linos as it has softer leather straps that allow for scout carry......the tek lok is very solid, but the Linos just kinda molds to the belt....and my fat butt!!

Can you scout carry with the sheath it comes with?

Any give is better to me. I almost prefer leather to kydex because it's more comfortable.

Actually, the sheath is kydex with leather straps......the kydex is thicker, but not nearly so long......as a result, it "forms" better and "paints" less.

Yeah, not super impressed with the factory sheath, it's the reason why I don't carry mine. Even forgot I had one until this thread... I've considered an aftermarket, like the linos, but just never got around to it, maybe that will be on my list in the near future, I do like the knife itself.

My elite series is #030......low number?? Regardless, the carbon fiber is sublime....it is perfect in hand. My pinky wraps perfectly around the butt......I have large-medium to large hands.....and the textile feel is "silky." My one negative....if there is one....is the elite series has toxic green liners?? fit and finish is perfect......toxic green?? There is contrast for sure.....maybe too much?? Should add that the thumb-ramp on the Linos sheath is simply perfect....the leather is solid......the kydex is beyond solid.....it is great and dependable!! My final bit on this that in the reverse grip.....it melds to the forearm and has plenty of belly for deployment......you know what I mean.

I love my Boker Vox-BOB, but the Coye Ridgeback is more user-friendly. This truly melds to the belt.......unobtrusive when carried and deadly when deployed......nothing better in an EDC or defensive situation.

Thank you for the feedback. I have definitely grown fond of fixed blades for normal EDC and this looks like a great blade. It is a great size.

Thank you. And for reference.....former military officer, former corrections officer, former federal agent and current criminal investigator.......this is at the top of my kit carry.

I should also add that the Boker version of the tek lok leaves a lot to be desired. I replaced with an actual tek lok......far better.
