Boker congress deep red jigged bone #BO70113JRBI
I just picked up one of these boker red jigged bone congresses. I use
to have one of these, "stepped" bolsters and all, when I was young.
I thought I would try one, especially since the blades are good "ole" carbon steel. I had bought four of the boker green pick bone barlows last year, which if any of you remember, was a real dissappointoment (to say the least).
These however, were a different story!!! the quality of the fit and finish was
"impressive" I have not seen a knife from boker in a long time receive this much attention!! The stepped bolsters were very nice, symetric, they fit the red jigged bone handles very well, very "tight". The liners were thicker stock brass than I have seen on many slip joints these days. The knife even had double liners, although the diving liner (between the blades was cut much shorter (not as pronounced). The "deep" red pick bone handles were a very pretty shade!!! The carbon blades came razor sharp and the springs were nice and "tight", just right. Much attention was put into this knife and I would highly recommend it!!! this is the quality I remember from many years ago!!!! If only some of the other makers would put this much attention into their knives! I hope boker keeps this up!! (if you guys at Boker are reading this please listen
!!!
Kudos to Boker!!!
They have really surprised me with this one!!!!
