I recently received a brand new Boker slipjoint form my grandson for a retirement gift; a Tree Brand Classic genuine stag Canoe with 440c blades. I have never seen a knife so poorly built. I know my grandson must have paid good money for this knife....he has a weekend job and I imagine he saved to buy this for me. I was thrilled to receive such a thoughtful present. But the back springs on this knife are nearly nonexistent. With the main blade in the open position, a gentle flip of the wrist sends the blade closing downward. The main blade is so badly fitted in the closed position that is rubs against the tang of the small pen blade and has scratched the main blade from just simply opening and closing several times . This knife is a disaster and my grandson deserves better for his labors. I wonder if Boker can make things right for both my grandson and me ?
