Just got the knife today, saw all the reviews, with the offcenter handles, then the second run which is improved. I am still sending back the one i recieved for a refund. The blade was way off center when closed. you might get one with a blade better centered.i also didnt like the hardware used for the pivot screws, they seem very cheap.the fancy barrel spacers look cool, but are also of a cheap metal material.looking closely at the handles you can see tiny pit marks in the titanium, machine marks covered by bead blast. lockup is good.the other thing is when you open knife, its very noisy as if its binding or grinding. i guess over time it would smooth out. the blade finish & grind is very good.thats the best thing about the knife. im afraid the handle finish might not hold up well over time either. The jimping on back of blade looks nice but gives no grip whatsoever. biggest problem for me is that i have knives like the zt 0561,benchmade adamas, kershaws,& many customs, & this knife is not as nice as them, so it makes no sense to keep it.

I bought one of the second generation model Epicenters when they were announced a few months ago.

Overall, I find the fit and finish to be quite good.

Mine has the blade off-center when closed, but I have fixed it by adjusting the pivot.

For the price, I think it is quite a bargain.

They can be found for less than $120 too.

i had trouble adjusting the pivot, the other side would turn with it, & it is a disc with 4 holes, kind of hard to hold it without it turning.i got it for the 120,but it should still be better than what i got......

It should have came with a pivot adjustment tool to fit the other side you are talking about.

I have adjusted mine at least twice now and have not noticed the other side moving.

I haven't used the pivot adjustment tool at all, just a Torx T8 driver.

I bought two of the 2nd generation and have 0 complaints. Perfect both of them out of the box. Kept one and gave one to my brother. He carries his in a nylon belt sheath. Matter of fact these two are finished so well in fact I did a post about the quality of them and how one could justify the purchase of an original from the maker when these are so good with f&f and ergonomics. Seriously high quality knives. keepem sharp

I am quite pleased that Boker Plus has Epicenter in their line.

I seriously doubt that I could afford the custom version.

I wish i had the same luck, i emailed the place i got it from , both their other knives blades are offcenter, too, so im just going to send it back for a refund.

Can you fix the centering with the pivot and then apply blue loc-tite so that it holds?
