Boker Escort and CRKT Polkowsi/Kasper

I can offer you my impressions of the CRKT knife. I got it about 12 days ago. I love the knife! It fits my hand well -- not quite as well as the CRKT KFF. It is well-balanced. It plain strikes you as a quality knife. The price was right at $29 at Bayou LaFourche.

While my Scottish soul gleamed at the thought of 2 sheaths, after a bit wasn't too charmed by them after all. First, both required a substantial wrench on them to get 'em out of the sheaths. I mean if you were wearing low-riders, you'd goose yourself so bad any attacker might die laughing right on the spot! I mean we're talking super-wedgie here!

As time has gone on, one of the two sheaths, the more versatile one, has begun to loosen up a bit. Still needs power to remove the knife, but it is lessening. The other sheath, probably because I don't like it as well and have played with it less, isn't loosening up like the first.

I ordered a sheath from Normark. Am very anxious to get it! I've heard his work praised so much, I think I'll be ecstatic when I have a sheath that meets the knife's capabilities.

An awful lot of people think Bud Nealy makes the best concealed rig sheaths, period. I don't know whether it was just snobbishness or something else, but I do know I recently read a post where a forumite really put down the Escort, particularly its plastic handles.

It is going to have to depend on your needs/purpose for the knife. If you want to hide it, then go for the Nealy, I'd say. If you're going to carry it openly much of the time, I'd strongly recommend the CRKT.

Hope this helps,
