Boker escrima

I am not making fun of you but, this knife designed by the nutty professor that has never been in a real knife fight in his life really cracked me up. First of all this knife is only good for stabbing, the dagger blade when used for slashing will only hang up in real flesh. The Philipenos have the real deal in a pure fighting type knife if thats your thing. It is good for stabbing & slashing. The slash stroke is used way more often than a stab stroke unless your opponent is so paralised with fear he cannot move. JMO.

rededge-
boker has its ups and downs..I think that s60v is highly regarded, but I don't have any love for metal handles or liner locks, myself. It seems pretty purpose built-I have never practiced Latosa escrima, but I can see why it has the details it has from what I have practiced.

Pogo-
"professor" is a term of respect in FMA that goes back to Professor Remy Presas. Latosa Escrima was designed by Rene Latosa-do a search on the art.

The E.F.D. is offered in 440C. The A.F.D. in S60V.

@Pogo
It was designed by Frank B. Metzner, Joachim Friedrich (close combat instructors), Dietmar Pohl (Boeker head designer) and grandmaster Bill Newman (european head trainer of the EWTO). None of each is what I would call a "nutty professor" :D . These guys know what they´re talking about ;) .

btw: the knife is butt ugly in my opinion :barf: :D

I'm hardly an expert (far from it), but...

When it comes to true knife fighting, be it kali, escrima, or Michael Jackson's "Bad" video, actually knowing how to use the knife is far more important than the knife you actually use. Knives like this Boker are far, far more likely to appeal to the armchair commando / mall ninja type than an actual practitioner.
