The 026 means it was a limited edition (#26 out of a few hundred). For what exactly, you'd have to ask Boker, or hope someone has one that remembers the story. If you like the knife, use it and enjoy it. It's in good shape for a working knife, but for the limited edition number to add anything it would have to be perfect. Even then, it's a crap shoot with knives. Some limited editions add a few bucks, most of the time add nothing, or can detract from what people are willing to pay.

Knife is probably late 1980's - mid 90's.

edit - here's one with the story, they came in different animals. I guessing the artwork on yours got polished off at some point -

Nice looking knife. Boker first released that pattern in 1986 which is still in production currently. Boker offered many models as contract knives to nearly anyone who would order a minimum number of knives. The link that titt supplied is a good example, but that knife is described as having synthetic handles with etched scenery. It appears that your knife has bone handles and would probably not have been etched. I would agree that your knife most likely dates between 1986 to the late 1990s. Enclosed is a picture from a 1990 catalog showing some of the various models of the 2000 series.

Hey guys, my posting got taken down because I wasn't a Gold Member and asked about the worth of the knife. So I will repost without asking value. Thanks guys for the responses. Anyone else have any comments? Tony
