Saw this little knife on new graham awhile back and loved the styling of it from what I saw on the computer. It was under $40 so I thought I'd give it a try. It arrived a couple of days ago, and man was I impressed with this little knife! I opened the box, and immediately fell in love.

I've been packing it for a couple of days, and have just been so pleased with it, that I think I'll make this my regular EDC.

Pros:

-Price - unbelievable value.
-Small and thin. You can hardly tell it's in your pocket
-Low ride pocket clip with screw holes for optional tip up or down carry.
-Frame lock - solid lock up.
-Absolutely no blade play
-Nice substantial double thumbstud - fast opening for it's size.
-Finger grooves.
-Exceptional fit and finish/materials for the money.
-Pleasing aesthetics, crisp grinds.
-Hair popping sharp right out of the box.

Cons:

-Jimping on the handle, and thinness can sometimes provide some discomfort in the hand under long and hard use.
-Blade steel may not be desirable for some (440C)
-Stiff low ride clip and thumbstuds get in the way of the pocket. Kinda have to wiggle it around to get it free from the pocket.
-Recurve blade may prove to be more difficult to sharpen (personal preference)

If you're not used to frame locks, the pocket clip side doesn't have a handle scale, which can be strange for some people (my dad and brother didn't like it that there weren't two matching scales...lol) So it may be visually awkward.

Anyway, on to the pics. This knife really does impress me. Pick one up and you wont be disappointed.

I've seen it online for $35 shipped. I may get one. Thanks for the review.

mustard stain?? yeah right!!! haha j/j :D

great review though man!! I've been thing of getting one of these ever since I got my M-type(which I love), and due to your review and pics I think I'm going to have to get one now!

Thanks again!

can you still flip it open as easy if you use your left hand? I'm a lefty and found that some liner lock knives make it impossible for lefties to open them.

thanks

I'm not left handed, but I tried it and it's easy. It's got a substantial thumbstud for it's size.

Looks sweet! Might have to buy one for my family to give me for father's day.

Might I ask country of origin? Taiwan or China?
If it is "440C" out of Taiwan, it is likely 440C.
If it is "440C" out of China it is likely not.

I like actual 440C. The Chinese alloy that they sell as "440C" works ok, but not as well as the real thing.

add: dtownknifekid and I apparently thought the same thing at the same time.
