I just bought a Boker Plus Hyper and I am impressed. I have a Wharcom , a Trance and a Subclaw but I think the Hyper will be my favorite. I like the size as an EDC and the edge geometry is excellent and this 440C steel is very sharp. It has a strong detent ball which I prefer. I don't like a weak detent because the knife can open in your pocket or be classified as a gravity knife which can get you in trouble in TX. I am so impressed with the quality of knives for such a low price. Boker has made a fine decision by utilizing Chad Los Banos and his exceptional knife design talents. Thanks Boker and Chad. Hey, Boker/Chad how about a Wharncliffe the same size as the Hyper?

Great choice . My Hyper and Trance are my favorite EDC knives that I carry the most.

Sorry, I was hypnotized by my CLBs who were playing the Jedi mind trick.

*slinging the KeyCom on a chain* Your eyes are getting heavy, very heavy... abracadabra Now go get a Hyper :D

What I like about the Hyper is how smooth the blade opens although it has a strong ball bearing detent which is very important in keeping the blade closed. Also, the blade and frame Titanium coating is attractive and does not interfere with the cutting ability of the blade. I find most blades that are black coated hamper or cause a drag in cutting. Not so with the Hyper. The Hyper cuts Ciggarette paper smoothly and carves Basswood nicely. It slices newspaper very well. I find that a knife that does these things will perform well in day to day use. The Hyper is quite comfortable and secure in my hand. I like this knife more and more. And I love the G10 handles and the wide drop point. And I think the knife performs like a much larger knife due to it's width.

Aloha ALL!

Whew...been awhile. Hell has been hectic, and it really drains one mentally working in the environment that I do...

ANYWAY, mahalo much all who posted...you guys are great. Also, welcome RKH, and I appreciate your enthusiasm towards one of my faves, the HYPER. I rotate this one with one of Trance Variants from time to time.;)

Now, regarding the Wharnie HYPER...one of my dear knifebro's who goes by Hannibal Lecter said that the HYPER would make an excellent platform for a Wharnie style blade. That being said, please be aware that I ALWAYS have variants to my designs, and already have a HYPER wearing a Wharnie blade...

Now, if Boker will only MAKE it...:p

Hang tight though...see, I got this...:foot:

God bless and enjoy!

Thank you for the welcome Daywalker. It would be great if Boker would bring out a wharncliffe blade in the Hyper.

Aloha RKH,

YES...it would be great to have some variants with a wharnie blade. Perhaps a separate thread about this would be appropriate...we can all beg and plead there.

God bless and thanks again.
