Anybody have one of these? I handled one the other day at BAss Pro Outlet, and it was very comfortable. Apparently it is forged 440C. It has a comfortable handle (available in several different ones). I've seen them online for under $100.

It looks like a cute little 3 1/2" all around blade

Any opinions?

I have seen that Boker's reputation doesn't appear to be the greatest, are they that bad? Or does no one own any???
Thanks,
Rob

Bobby B, I don't own one but I just had to say it looks fine to me!
Wouldn't mind owning one, myself. If you get one, please pass along your appraisal.

Boker fixed blades and lockbacks are good quality knives, where their quality starts dropping is their linerlocks. Although I do like their Brend folder (although I think I'm the only person on BladeForums that does).

For around a hundred bucks this looks like a very fine knife. You are not going to find many if any other integrals for a price like that. It looks really nice as well and is made from a excellent steel for that price. I could live without the large Boker logo, but that is not a big deal.

I don't own one but I've handled several Boker integrals. The fit and finish are good enough for the price they ask. I think integrals are the best buy from Boker.
BTW, the stag version (formerly Mauser) ain't bad for $130

The one I will be getting looks more like the one in Flava's post.
It is the "European" version with the guard that goes down the handle, as this picture shows. It has the THUYA wood (?) handles.
Price is $86 shipped...
For that money, I'll get one. I'll let you know what I think when I get it.
Thanks,
Rob

I'll let you know when I get it.
It looked about 3/16 or so max. Thin enough to slice, thick enough to feel sturdy. I'll use my verniers on it, when I get it.

Those are some really fine looking knives for the money!

I can vouch for the 440c Boker uses. I have the classic 2000 lockback in 440c from them and it holds an edge pretty good. About par for a well treated 440c.
I also have the liner-lock Boker/Brend folder in 440c. The only thing that doesn't suck about that folder is the blade steel.:grumpy:

Their fixed blades sure look good though.
