I have the larger model. It's a fun knife, I like the kick it has on opening. Certainly worth the money. So far mine is in good shape, I carry it a lot on property but I don't use it that much.
I'm under the impression the majority of them are conversions, so one caveat: bought mine at a gun show, they guy telling me that it was covered by Boker warranty and that they would replace the spring if it broke, etc. Well, Boker won't repair conversion autos sent to them. So be aware of that.
Main thing I do is close it slowly and try to baby the spring. I don't know how long it will last before it breaks but I have no complaints so far and the AUS8 steel seems fine and takes an easy sharp edge.
