Hi there,

I had heard (maybe incorrectly) that the Boker KALS74 (push button lock, black handle) model now comes with a pocket clip.

Is it true? Is it tip up or tip down carry?

Thanks,
Daniel.

I just bought one and it arrived without a clip. Too bad cause it appears to be a nicely made inexpensive folder.

Without a clip it becomes a gift knife for someone. I cannot carry it!

They just started arriving with clips, so there are not too
many in circulation right now.
It is a tip up carry, and the clip is mounted very far on the butt of the knife,
so it carries deep in the pocket.

That's great news!

Will there be clips on the liner lock versions of the KAL74 as well? Tip up or tip down?

I have handled a few of the KAL74 and found them to be excellent value and well made - and a pocket clip would make it an absolute winner.

Thanks,
Daniel.

The liner lock with clip will come out soon, and will also be tip up.
Thanks,TJT

Come on, here is a good opportunity to customize your knife to add a pocket clip. I took another direction and made a kydex IWB sheath, but I think the addition of a clip should be not too difficult ;)

I agree, I added clips to both versions. And added a coil spring to the push-button lock version. Both were done tip-up.

French Kiss, I will see if I remember How to photo-bucket. Untill then, I will say on the liner-lock version, I used a modified clip from a Camullis Heat and on the Button-lock version, I used a modified Spyderco Para-Millie clip and a modified coil spring from (don't laugh at me I was new at this knife thing when I bought this) (LOL at myself :o ) Smith&Wesson Black Opps Assisted opener. :barf: (that knife sucked!) I will say the spring works like a charm! I have also promised a review of both and now that I have "called myself out" I will have to get busy.
