I have a Boker Magnum Collection serial numbered knife from 2002 and was wondering if anyone could tell me the actual value of this knife. I know its only worth what someone is willing to pay but I was hoping for a ball park figure. I did purchase it in Germany.

Sorry bud, but only Gold or higher members are allowed to ask for values. Check the rules stickies.

Thanks for the response though. I can promise I will not come back to this site for any information nor to look for collections to buy.

You made a fairly common mistake, and were corrected on it, no big deal. No need to get mad.

BUt just an FYI, for someone like myself who's been collecting knives for 50+ years and doesnt have very much internet knowledge, yall have picked a sure fire way to turn people like myself off from trying this forum thing.

I was just looking for an estimated value for I am not long for this world and will be handing it down to my children.

Well for that I'm sorry....if your looking for an estimated value I would look up bernard levine's website he is a very knowledgeable man (and a very friendly one at that!) And values knives, if I rember correctly he only charges $5 a knife...I wish you the best of health!

Cheers!

I know this thread has gone off topic, but, to answer your question:
The Magnum knife isn't worth much, I think. Here's a short summary of Boker's sub-brands, in order of overall cost. (And quality.)

-Boker/Boker Germany/Tree Brand: German made, very good, highest quality.
-Boker Arbolito: Argentinian made, very good, cheaper than Boker Germany.
-Boker Plus: Chinese and Taiwanese made, great value.
-Boker Magnum: Chinese and Taiwanese made, OK for the money, lowest quality.

So, your Boker Magnum knife probably isn't worth much. (Though it's sentimental value that counts, right?)

The Case knives you mentioned should be more interesting, especially if they're older.
