Boker Knives?

I know when I was growing up the broker tree brand was a heck of a good knife. That was serveral years ago. How is the quality of the copperheads, trappers, and stockman now? Also, I would like to try a Schatt Morgan, but I can get 2-3 bokers for what one SM cost. Should I get one SM or 2-3 bokers, case, or colonial coons? I have just got back into slip joints and really like them. I think I am going to sell most of my liner locks and buy slip joints. They kinda take me back to my youth and I remember how my dad farmed and skinned deer for 30 years with a old worn out barlow.

I only have 2 Tree Brand Bokers, a Whittler and a Carvers Congress, but the fit and finish on both is great, very solid. The Carvers Congress especially impresses me, it's like a little tank.

I haven't bought any in a while, but from what I see at the gun shows they are still well made. There are some nice reports on their quality that pop up here every once in a while. Personally, I would want to have one in my hand before plunking down my money, but my second choice would be to buy from a vendor on this site that stands behind their product.

I used to carry Bokers a few decades ago. Back then, they were certainly fine knives.

My Boker "Fellow" was made in Solingen and is of high quality. I've heard some of the lower Boker labels have had QC issues.

I have a few of them and have had nor see any issue with them. I think the quality and asethic appeal for the price point in a traditional folder is tough to beat.

Boker "Tree Brand" are generally excellent quality for the price, in my experience (I own a stockman, two copperheads and a trapper, and have been impressed with all of them). Just make sure it says "Solingen - Made in Germany" on the blade.

Been very pleased with my carbon Bökers from Germany. All decent quality with very nice F&F at least equal to CASE often better, prices can be very modest too if you look around. Frankly, from my experience they are better than Schatt&Morgan of recent make. Schatt use very average stainless mostly and I've found enough QC issues to make me annoyed, they are not cheap either! Ordinary carbon or D2 Queens are much better.
