I bought a Boker Infinity - ceramic blade a couple of years ago. The knife was sharp (not scary sharp) out of the box. I really dont like the brittle ceramic blade but do have uses for it. Question is: Has anyone had any experience with Boker's customer service? If their service (cooperation and turn-around time) is good I will send it to them to sharpen. If not I will send to a privatly run shop. Just in case can anyone give me URLs of the best sharpening services. Thanks, Dave Halliday

Better late then never.

I have a Boker Infinity, which I sent to Boker earlier this year to re-shape the blade(broken tip) and sharpening. About a week(could have been two, wasn't very long), I got the blade back. After careful examination, I discovered Boker had replaced the entire knife, for the cost of sharpening(No I have no clue why...but who's complaining? :) ). The knife I got back was completely flawless from pommel to tip.

In short Boker's Customer service has been top notch in my experience. They're customer service rep was helpful and suggestive, when I called asking about fixing the broken tip on my blade.

Replacing a knife with such a hard ceramic blade might be cheaper for them than resharpening it, since they can just take a knife out of the current production instead of having to individually service your particular Infinity.

Thank you for your prompt replies. I have tried diamond hones to no avail. I spoke to Boker: They will sharpen ceramic blades for $8.00 + $5.95 shipping. Again Thank you. Dave:cool:
