boker kwaiken owners, detent relief adjustment/mod :)

#83 in my hands, ive owned this knife for about a week now and whilst this is an extremely attractive knife... it sucks to open. this was due to excessive amount of detent strength caused by an overly sprung lock bar on the one i received. i disassembled it and slightly bent the lock bar out. the lockup is a bit earlier now and should extend longevity. it is still rock solid with no play in any direction and easier to deploy as the detent strength has been slightly relieved. the knife is a lot more enjoyable now
