Hello, i recently purchased this beautiful knife, how ever there is one major problem. There is a 6 pole screw on the blade pivot that constantly comes loose. The knife came with a tool to tighten the screw but if i tighten it at all the blade will hardly unfold. I had planned on using this knife as a EDC but am paranoid that the screw will fall off and i will loose it.

So is this how the system is supposed to work? Am i supposed to tighten that screw so much? I am not sure what to do about this otherwise wonderful knife. I am tempted to put a drop of crazy glue or lock tight on the threads. Is this a manufacturer defect? It was not inexpensive and i feel little peeved that i paid for quality.

anyhow any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If the knife is brand new, you might first get in touch with Boker. They might (should) offer to fix that for you. It's a pretty common issue, among many manufacturers. Most are willing to fix these problems, assuming users haven't severely altered the knife in attempts to fix it.

Aside from that, using some Loctite (blue), on the threads, is a common fix for a loose pivot screw.
