this model 1st appeared in late 80s or early 90s , issued in stag & 440c. in the 2000s the same model reissued in stag & various colored bone. this knife a flat ground & carbon steel made in germany. thin , strong & well rounded with no sharp corners this should make a good edc & light weight trail knife able to handle many camping activities.

DS, is that the 4 inch plus model? I been lookin' at that in stag, but I like the yella a lot too. How good is the action on that one, does the back lock jump when you release it, or is it smooth, like a Colt revolver locks up?

Glad you gave a chance to see this Dennis, thanks.

I've been buying a few German made Bökers recently and I've been VERY pleased with all of them: A Congress in a nice dark Redbone(CASE take a look..) couple of large Stockman-Redbone and Grand Canyon- and one of these lockbacks, the style in your pic.

Mine is in a really attractive Washboard Bone which is grooved across the handle like an old time washboard, rich caramel chocolate colour. Excellent fit and finish, very sharp carbon blade which is being used in the kitchen and taking on a good hue. All this for less than 40 USD from a notorious on-line auction place, really good value. I urge others to try one:thumbup:

thanks fellas the knife is 4.25 closed & only 3/8 wide in bone . stag adds some thickness & weight of course. now i do'nt pay as much attention to knives as you guys, primarily it's about cutting & carry for this type folder. the knife locks up tight --no play . the release does "jump" a little. not absolutely silent like my spydie enduras. however theres a big price difference in the 2 models. also the enduras have been cycled a few thousand times. the bone is absolutely gorgeous & i.m.o. as good as anything queen or gec turns out.

Thanks, Dennis; I may have to revisit Boker German. Their nicer items are really really nice, and their import stuff can be really really nasty. I have a few Germans and they tickle me every time I get them out for a look. Great company. Boker USA made some nice stuff a long time ago as well.
