Boker Magnum Blitz Manual Button Lock knife?

I just found this online and at first I thought it was crap. But upon further examination despite this being part of the cheap Boker Magnum Chinese made line, It appears to be made of relatively high grade materials and all for less than $20.

The blade is solid 440c (certainly better than most Chinese made knives). It has an aluminum handle that is textured and layered with G10. It has a fairly innovative button locking system that allows for near automatic opening and closing speeds... So my question for all the gurus out there is, why is this knife so cheap and what in the bloody hell is wrong with it? Or is this the new $20 Spyderco Tenacious beater??? :D

The thread won't let me post a URL address bigger than 25 characters so please google the words below for a direct link to the info. Thank you.
"Boker Magnum Blitz Manual"

Does anyone own one? Can anyone share their opinions about it?

I have a question: how does it open? The Boker website says this is not an assisted opening knife. Do you just push the button and flick it open, or is there some other mechanism.

The knife looks interesting for the price, but first I'd like to know how it works.

My thanks.

Yes, you push the button and flick, or use both hands in a more traditional style.

I know I'm way late on this, autoopen, but I just ordered one of these, and it should be here this coming week. I'll post some initial impressions when it gets here.

Got it. Dig it. 'Nough said. :D Initial observations: Blade locks open very securely, with buttonlock engaging almost half the width of the tang. Blade is razor sharp and perfectly centered. Knife is heavy. I sort of like this, as it gives it that built-like-a-tank feeling, but anyone looking for a featherweight folder should look elsewhere. There's some minor up and down play when the blade is locked in the closed position, but I don't see how that could be avoided in a buttonlock at this price. No discernable play when open and absolutely no side-to-side movement in either position. The knife is brand new and a bit stiff, so flipping takes a bit of force, but I expect this to moderate as I use it. We'll have to wait and see how the edge holds up after I've had a chance to use it a bit (as well as whether it stays tight or develops any movement). Fit and finish on my example are nicer than expected on a sub-$25 (shipped) Chinese knife.

Btw, true to their word, Boker has eliminated the safety slider along the spine of the handle on this North American model. The knife also has thick steel liners under the aluminum scales (which is likely a big part of the weight, though they are skeletonized quite nicely). I don't know if the rest-of-the-world models have this or not, but it seems like it might be a feature only of those destined for North America. I'm thinking they're milling the aluminum down thinner to prevent insertion of a spring, and perhaps using the liners to take up the resulting windage (though I could always be wrong).
