First thanks up front from anyone who takes time to help me out here,as Im not very knowledgeable about sharpening.
I just received a Boker Magnum Bulldog that was comically dull, but I thought no big deal,Ill break out the accusharp,to which I have had pretty good success at even turning machetes into paper shavers...Long story short, after way more passes with the accusharp than should ever be required,it is only marginally better.I like paper shaving sharp and this still will not even cut through paper without just ripping it,not cutting it...
So my first question is after the accusharp is not having any success (notorious for sharpening, but also taking off more metal than need be I understand) will any other system out there be able to help? (I know someone with a file, some skills and time could probably make it look easy, but I have NO skills) I suppose Im up to any suggestions, whether it be return it,a possible service that I can send it to to get sharp or maybe sending it to boker to see if they will fix or another home sharpening system that would be better?

I like Boker knives, I have several great Boker Plus knives, as well as a Boker Tree Brand Stockman. I only have one Boker Magnum knife, one that was given to me, and I think the steel is a joke. Good luck to anyone who can put an edge on it, Boker Magnum couldn't, and neither can I.
