The new Magnum L.E. Edition...7 1/2 inch blade of 440.:D
Does any member own this new offering, and if so how do you feel about it.
I am so close to pulling the trigger on one but still a bit leery of the Magnum name. I own many other Bokers.
Twenty two in all.
Cinch,Tree Brand,Bog Oak,and a Leopard. But I am still scared of only spending $89.00 for what appears to be more than a good deal.
Is it?

Peace.

Looks interesting to me too, Dave. I've been thinking about picking one up. The LE doesn't mean much to me, though. I've also been thinking about getting a BO160 Valkyrie Bowie. There's a nice writeup on it here:

The Valkyrie looks like a lot of knife for the money. And I'd trust the heat treat on the 440C with Boker's name on it.

I still want one and can't find one in stock. Boker doesn't even have any.
I did just buy a BOKER 02BO180 SCHANZ INTEGRAL DAGGER.

It has a double edge with a grind as smooth as a baby's bum.The massive chunk of 440C has the integral guard and at the thickest it is 3/4 of a inch.
Big piece of 440 eh?
The tapered Micarta slabs give a great deal of control and as a fighter it feels fast but heavy. The balance point is just at the beginning of the guard which allows the "in hand feel" of the blade to really impress.

I am still hunting for the L.E. and have held off on the plain blade Valkyrie due to the odd handle.Almost the same knife but I just can't pull the trigger to buy one on line because of that odd handle config. Just not for me....but close!

This however is a nice stroll around downtown Delavan kind of knife.

Peace.

Hey, that is MY post! Since that post the Valkryie I had was sold, but it was missed so much that I got a new one several months back. It is just as nice and well done as the first one was. In hand this knife just feels great, and I still love the design! The Intergral dagger you got PoP, is nice looking and is on my short list of Bokers to get. In fact it is just behind the next Boker I will be getting, the Lightweight Titan Defender. Boker has certaintly surprised and delighted me with the quality of their knives!

if you like these blades... then you all should have a closer look at the
02BO190 :D

This is a huge integral Subhilt fighter, after a famous design from Dietmar Kressler...

It'll be in the new catalog...

If it's based on the Big Bear, that should be sweet! Got pics yet? :)

I'll talk to the marketing people here, and see if they have a pic I can put up.
It really is a nice, impressive piece. Well balanced, all integral, I really like it.

Here's a pic of the 02BO190 that Tobias was talking about.

That sure looks like it's patterned after a Big Bear to me! Thanks for the pic. :D

I've been looking at the Boker Plus line of fixed blades for awhile and I've just got to comment on how excellent they appear to be. I don't own one yet, but PoP's posts about the SID, the comments I've read concerning the Valkyrie, the Bill Johnson LE collaborative that made the cover of the March 2010 issue of Blade Magazine and the upcoming Kressler Big Bear collaborative speak volumes about what can be accomplished with offshore production if the QC is tight. And there's nothing wrong with 440C either. It's plenty robust if the heat treat is right. (Witness the entire line of Entrek fixed-blade knives.) I realize that some folks won't purchase a knife if it's not produced in the USA. I own plenty of USA-made knives. But I won't limit myself to them. And I WILL take advantage of a bargain if I spot one. Heaven knows, the Boker Plus line of fixed blade knives is chock full of bargains and great patterns to boot.

I've already contacted my supplier re: the Kressler collaborative. What an awesome fighter design. I'll buy one as soon as they become available.

Whatever you're doing, keep it up!
