Is there a release date on the Manly Comrade. And anyone know where it will be available.

Well, as soon as I saw it available on Blade HQ, I ordered it. I've had the Comrade for 3 days now and all I can say is wow! Impressive knife. It's an amazing knife, very well built. I was a little curious about the blade having 4 stops but it works well. I absolutely love this knife already. It doesn't come in a Boker box. It arrived in a brown box marked Manly, nothing says Boker anywhere. The blade comes with an Allen wrench to adjust the pivot, nice touch. The pamphlet inside the box says its sharpened at 15 degrees. Not sure what I'll do about that yet since I normally use a Sharp Maker or Smiths sharpener. Neither have 15 degree angles. Any suggestions will be appreciated on that. The knife feels great in the hand, grippy g10. The blade came sharper than any knife I've ever bought. It has the feeling of a quality, durable knife. I hope this is the first of more Manly knives offered by Boker.

I'm probably gonna pick one of these up and throw a kwik stud on it. For around $50 they seem like a heck of a deal. Glad to her the quad stop (?) isn't obnoxious, as that struck me as a fairly bizarre feature.

Almost forgot, I'd bet money that the 15° they're referring to is per side, so 30° inclusive. That means the Sharpmaker should work on it just fine.

15 degrees per side is 30 degrees inclusive. Use the 30 degree angle on the Sharpmaker. There's no way they're sharpening that at 15 degrees inclusive - I wouldn't think. You would need a super thin blade...

I bought one from GPK. I love it! It is the coolest and most successful adaptation of modern touches to a slip joint that I have ever experienced. I think the four stop open and close is a great safety feature. A person would have to high as a kite to close this knife accidentally. It is also easy to open for a slip joint, the backspring is the stoutest I have tried on a modern style slip joint, and should be super safe. This is a great knife for $50.
