I just got one and it's quite cool. However I'd like to get a different scale for it besides the toxic green. I know tuffthumbz will make scales and what not, but I feel silly spending $100 on a scale for a $40 knife. Is there another affordable option anyone can think of? Could you dye Zytel? I'd like to keep it at or under the cost of the knife itself. Thanks.

Don't know how well the Zytel will take to dye, but honestly, it couldn't hurt attempting it. The color is light enough that if you wanted a darker color, if the dye took, you should easily be able to darken it. Don't think there is an option for replacement scales though. It's a $40 knife, and highly unlikely that anyone will mass produce for such an inexpensive knife, but it could happen. There would just have to be a large enough demand for it.

Get a hold of Dan at Kryptoglow.
I know he does non-glowing scales as well as glowing.
He will do any color you like.
He's pretty cheap.

OR you could try making your own if you have a dremel tool and buy some g-10 scales for 6 to 7 dollars. Just as long you have proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) More time consuming and a learning practice but could work?
