Hello all,
I've been eying the Nealy Paracord for the last several months. It certainly seems like a beautiful knife, but the price and 440C steel has held me back. Worse, I have not been able to find any reviews of the knife, and there do not seem to be many pictures of the Nealy circulating on the net.

Does anyone here own this blade, and what are your thoughts about it? If someone were to be so kind, I'd love to see pictures of the Nealy without the paracord wrap. A big thanks in advance!

Fit and finish on my G-10 version was very good and appropriate for the price-point. Very thin profile handle with surprising amount of grip despite the small choil. The sheath and such however, being multi-positional, seemed to me simply bulky.

Admittedly, the 440C is not the newest super-steel, but it was THE super-stainless steel for a good deal of time and is very adequate to any needs it might be used for.

The Nealy is First-rate. And 440-C is a very good steel. It excels at corrosion resistance too. Get the knife. :D

Hi guys,
I appreciate the responses. I have no doubts about 440C being an adequate steel, but it seems pricey relative to what other companies offer. For example, the Buck Mayo Kaala in S30V, which is a similarly sized neck knife, prices below the Nealy paracord, and a 440C S&W necker is about one-fourth the price of the Boker.

senoBDEC, I believe you were referring to the Nealy Specialist. I looked into that knife but noticed that Bud's customs now come with an improved sheath system which advertises as being thinner, more versatile, and free of magnets. I can't find any production Nealy's that offer this, so I've begun considering one of his customs...

...and so my wallet takes a dive yet again ><

One of the reasons for the price discrepancy is the import fees coming from
Germany. Exchange rate, and customs cost a bit more.
Thanks, Terry
