boker nippon necker...your thoughts???

I'm in the market for a new necked and was wondering what you guys think of the boker Nippon necker? I found it for around $50.

If it were my money I'd go an inch longer and get the Boker Kwaito. I think I'd get a lot more usefulness out of it despite the blade size only being an inch different just because of the design. And it also presents as a much more discrete package to me.

I have a Kwaito and while it's a nice knife it's pretty big for a necker, unless you're a really big dude!

Has anyone handled the Boker Nippon Necker and can say what impression they have of it? I'm considering adding it to my next knife purchase because I like the design and would like something between my EDC fixed blade (BRKT Little Creek) and my light Camping knife (Rat3). I find it hard to research due to a lack of vids and reviews and find very few pictures online. Any input is very welcome.

Never heard of them until now so I Googled them. First impression was that they look like Bud Nealy's design, and they were. I own a couple Nealy knives.

Bud Nealy makes a very well-made, well thought-out design. Simplicity and functionality. If Boker follows the "recipe", those should be great knives.

One observation is that these knives are more "defensive" knives and may not hold up as well if used for heavy use utility or outdoors knives.

I'm not a fan of neck knives, but I really like the look of this knife and have been thinking of buying one for a while. One thing that concerns me though is that the knife fits into the sheath quite deeply, meaning that the hand would have to be re-positioned during or after withdrawing it. Any thoughts, experience?

Tie a very short length of paracord with a knot at the end of it. This will help you to index and grip the knife even if under stress.

Check out the boker plus Tom krein Grasshoper, less than an ounce, 440C steel, an around 6 inches.
