This auto just caught my eye recently. Has a 3.35 blade, aluminum handles, and D-2 steel. Wondering if any Boker fans here have one or can offer opinions on this blade. Not too familiar with the Boker brand myself and was hoping others on the forum can give their opinions on durability and quality of the brand. Sure looks like a nice blade. SMK has this model advertised for around $75. Glad to hear opinions.

My daughter has a couple but I don't think hers are D2 ones. They seem pretty solid considering their price. There are better Autos out there but not at that price range.

I do not own one. It's on the list. People who own them speak well of them. Especially in the EDC bang for the buck value.

Thanks for replies guys. This one appealed to me for overall blade shape and aluminum handle. Blade not too puny either. Plus the non Tini blade will be a switch from my other coated EDCs.

I have had one for about 2 months and it is regulary carried. So far so good. Definitely a good bang for the buck

Even the lower end Boker autos are pretty good knives. The only issue I've seen is screws loosening over time if carried regularly, nothing a bit of lock tite would cure. I have had a few and I don't have anything bad to say about them other than the handle finish isn't the toughest in the world, so as long as you don't bang it around too much it will still look nice for years to come

Hmm. Not sure if you mean this one (Böker's product-page picture, not mine)...

... or this one (pictured below), but aside from a one-time broken spring, since replaced and lubed with a blob of white lithium grease, I've not had a problem with mine since. It's a light, handy, fun little automatic that seems pretty robust. Yes, there's a tick of blade wobble that tightening the pivot doesn't relieve, but at this price, I certainly don't mind. (For that matter, the wee wobble might be from the high mileage as I certainly don't remember what it was like brand new, that being a very long time ago; and for that matter, my much pricier Microtech has more wobble, which seems to be the nature of most autos.)

Thus it seems if you like whichever one you're looking at, try it out. Autos put some of the fun in functionality.
