I have been intrigued by the blade shape on the 550 BM griptilian and Bone Collector knives, but didn't want to spend $100 at the moment. I came across the Boker Plus Clip 01bo330, which also has the "modified sheepsfoot" blade design from Mel Pardue. With aus8 steel it seems like it could be a possible EDC, but don't know how the "peek-a-boo" clip will hold up. At the very least, it would make an interesting addition to my collection.
Anybody have any experience with this knife?

If you just want to try that blade shape on the cheap, Google "Ganzo G710 knife".

No reviews yet, that I could find.

On paper and pricewise, it could be what you're looking for.

The blade shape is very similar. It comes with an Axis-style lock, and the Chinese steel (one seller is calling it 440C; another just refers to it as "high carbon stainless steel") is often compared to the AUS8 used in the Boker model.

Received the Boker Plus Clip today. Hate It. The disappearing pocket clip is very fragile. The blade grind was horrible, looked like 25-deg on one side and about 10-deg on the other. Too bad, my first Boker and maybe my last. I know the Plus line is the cheaper line, but I expected more. My fault I guess, but damn.

Two solutions. Return the knife to the retailer. Get your money back. So you can spend that money on something you'll like. Or......

If you are in the usa? Let Terry know over in the boker forum. I had two bokers with issues. one was a super dull blade, and he told me to send it back and he make them right, including sharpening the dull blade. So he should be able to address that for you. Boker usa seems pretty determined to make things right, at least from my limited experience. Although.... Nothing he could do about the clip though, since its a design issue.

I've decided to try to send it back for a refund. Even if I got the edge re-done, the pocket clip is still un-usable.

That's what I thought too! If it had a regular pocket clip it would have been fine, I could have re-done the blade grind. The disappearing clip is kind of a cool novelty, but is too light and fragile and hangs up on the pocket, making it feel like it will break completely off every time you try to pull it out.
The blade could actually be good, with a little better QC. The G-10 is pretty nice and the lock-up is very solid. Pretty slow blade deployment though.
I really wanted to like this knife, and could have lived with re-doing the grind, but the clip was just a deal breaker for me since it can't be modified.
