Boker Plus confusion

I just received a knife in the mail. It's confusing for 2 reasons

(1) I didn't order it and have no idea why it came to me, the return address is in China (and in Chinese)???? It wasn't from a dealer, & it was wrapped in birthday-paper.

(2) I cannot find any example of the knife on the internet to identify it. I'll try to take a pic later, but does this sound familiar to anyone? Approx 3.5" clip-point blade, steel handles with holes and finger grooves, liner lock, nice sleek clip.

What's distinguishing is that both the handle and blade are duo-tone, with the flats being brushed steel and the blade bevel/spine & handle edges having a black coating. The handle says Boker Plus, & the blade is etched with Boker & the tree and "Dein Messer made in Solingen." There is no indication of what the blade steel is, or what the model name is. It seems well made.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

With that blade etch, it is a counterfit knife.
We do not, nor ever have put that on any knife.
We do the best we can, but these are all over the 'Bay.

Can you post a pic?

Well, if it came suddenly for free, then it must have been the Santa himself, maybe your Santa office is located in China LOL!

Post a pic pls. so we know what you talkin` about.

here it is

I bought a different knife off the Bay from a guy in China once, a month or so ago - I sent him an email asking him if he sent me this by accident but his response didn't make sense. ????

Well, first, the Boker on the blade was just lifted from our website,
and is not something we use as a knife logo. Another thing to point out is
that we either label a knife Boker, if it is made in Germany or Argentina, or Boker Plus, if it is made for us in Taiwan/China, never both names on the same knife.
We have something similar to this, but not exact, in the Magnum line.
In short, you've been had, and that is a fake Boker.

intriguing, thanks for the information. Strange that they would make the effort to produce a knife this well but then screw up on the labeling. Although who knows what the blade steel is, could be 420J or worse. Guess I'll beat it up and see how it does. Since it came to me free and without explanation I'll look on it as a strange gift of fate rather than "being had." But it's sure a warning to others not to buy items off Ebay from sellers in China!

Yup, thats fake. I recommend to buy from a non asia located reputable dealer in future. Sorry about your disappointment.

It came to him free. He didn't order it and he didn't pay for it.
It seems it is worth the price. :)

And a decent design to boot. I actually like the pocket clip quite a bit.

After seeing the lanyard thread, I knew I wanted a Boker flashlight to compliment my next Boker knife. A Boker knife/light EDC Combo. Plus the one you had in the lanyard thread unsure which model has a nice clip/lanyard ring not too many lights come with both standard

Well, unfortunately, we quit carrying the flashlights.
We don't have any left.
