Hello everyone

I was wondering what are your thoughts about the mini vanquish by Boker, since I haven't seen many people talk about this knife.

I heard some people talk about Boker having inconsistent quality on the Plus line, have they fixed it in this model?

By the way, does the blade run on bearings or washers?

Thank you

I'm curious to see the responses, this one had caught my eye as well. One hell of a sexy profile.

Im curious as well.
I have NOT had a very good experience with Boker's quality control, but maybe this one is different?
I also like their new GTC.

The GTC is a great blade. The only flaw with mine is a slightly off-center blade but it's getting better with break in. Not that that's a huge issue IMO...

Every other person who has chimed in on it has been happy with it so I'm hoping they're getting the hang of the QC.

I have had my Mini Vanquish for ten months and have nothing but good things to say about her. She has not only met, but in some ways exceeded my expectations. As for consistency of quality, I can only speak of the one I have. In regards to the use of washers or bearings, I'm not sure. I haven't a need to disassemble her as of yet, nor am I astute enough to tell by looking down through the pivot location. What I can attest to is that the blade deployment is very smooth. The blade is centered to the naked eye. There is zero play vertically or horizontally. The blade is a thing of beauty. The jimping is well executed IMO, and while visually elegant, she feels very strong in the hand. If I have one nit-pik it would be that the rear upper handle corner could become a hot spot with prolonged use. Of course smoothing the corner would be detrimental to the sweet lines that distinguish the Mini Vanquish.

Thank you for your opinion, lately I have seen an increase in people saying that they're boker plus doesn't have quality issues, maybe boker has finally fixed these...

I also sent Boker an email regarding the washers or bearings, but haven't got an answer. Does anyone know if they answer they're emails?

Did you email Boker or Boker USA?

Hi everyone
Just heard back from Boker USA, completely different customer service, I got an answer within a couple of hours.
The blade runs on washers and he says that he hasn't heardof any QC issues on the mini vanquish.

Yeah I figured that might work....Boker is based in Germany so you'd probably have a tough time getting to them if you're in the US.

I'm from Portugal so I emailed the general European Boker.
Either they don't speak English or they don't like to answer emails, I'm just glad that most people in the USA value customer service more than in Europe.

If anyone else wants the chime in about their mini vanquish, please do. I'm probably going to buy one in the near future

Finally got an answer from Boker.de, they just missed my email.
Customer Service is equally good to Boker USA, fortunately.
