i got my 2011 catalog a couple weeks back and i see some really good looking stuff in it. lots of interesting designs. as the title of this thread suggest.... my two favorites right now are the krein psk and the s2 knife.

anyone know when these might make it to dealer's warehouses. i've seen "summer" doing google, but like anything involving boker not a whole lot of info is out there.

In February, I ordered both directly from Boker. Release was scheduled for end of May / beginning of June ... havn't got them yet.

good info, thank you Sir. so safe i guess to assume......by next month possibly maybe a bit longer, maybe a bit shorter?

if you would when you recieve yours would you mind posting pictures and a quicky review. it's hard to find boker reviews sometimes? i know i'm asking allot, and i apologize if i've stepped over the line of reasonable requests. thanks in advance.

The S2 should come out next month, but that is a "should" we will see.
I haven't heard anything on the PSK at this time.

I wrote Boker about two weeks ago and they said the hold up on the PSK release was in the production of the sheaths. Supposed to be finished in "a few weeks". Groan.

Got my Boker Plus Tom Krein PSK in the mail yesterday. Great knife. Heavy! Razor sharp out of the box.

good to hear.......are you, Sir, willing to post some pics and a mini review? i know i am interested, maybe some of the other forum readers/followers are? thanks in advance!

I'm not able to put up any pics. I know how irritating that is, but I don't have a camera. I will however say that I'm MOSTLY impressed with my Boker Plus PSK. Here's my pros and cons:

PROS:
1. Great size. I've never had a PSK before and I really like the fact that it fits my medium size hand (all fingers) really well.
2. Heavy weight. Suitable for just about any tough job you have in mind.
3. Sharp. No need for putting a better edge on it.
4. Handle material. I'm a big fan of G-10. Practically indestructible. It looks good even after some additional sanding and smoothing.

CONS:
1. Asymmetrical handle grind. I may be nitpicking, but one scale seems to be slightly out of round with the other side. I don't notice it until I look at it like I'm aiming a rifle. This "out of round" grind gives the knife the appearance that it is slightly warped. As I run my thumb down the back of the knife, I can feel that one side is larger than the other. Again, maybe it's just me.
2. Heavy weight. Yep. I said this was a PRO, but it's also too heavy for my personal preferences as a pocket carry.
3. Sheath. Although I like Kydex sheaths, this one has left quit a few scratches and scuffs on both sides of the blade. Not deep scratches, but noticeable never the less. Also, I have to be really careful when I insert the knife into this sheath. The slightest wrong alignment and this sharp blade will slice the sheath up.
4. The Tec Loc belt attachment is o.k. but the alignment of the holes in the sheath will only fit the attachment for a horizontal or up-side-down vertical carry.

I am not a knife expert, but I know how I want a knife to look and the way I like for the knife to feel in my hand. I have already smoothed off a lot of the "out of round" scale. It's better but not perfect. Overall, it's a good knife but on second thought, if I had to do it again, I would have ordered another Michael Morris EDC60 for about the same price as the Boker PSK.

Like the feel of it and the fit and finish is good enough...a bit of uneven profiling on the handle, just glad the swedges match up in top view. Like the matte G10 and bead blasted lanyard hole and fastener. Out the box...not so sharp; had to strop her a bit to get her to cut paper smoothly. For the price...she's a keeper.

All in all a good take off from the original, albeit a more affordable version. Speaking of which...

I got the drop point version of the Krein PSK. A major difference is that the Krein handle is more contoured.

What was the price difference between the Krein and the PSK from Boker? They look very similar so I am just curious. I know the steel is going to be the differentiator there also. Thanks for the review. I have had my eye on the PSK. I love Tom's work.

About $215 price difference.
