This is basically my first impressions of this knife. The knife is a classic lockback folder in the Buck 110 styling tradition but smaller and with Damascus steel bolsters instead of brass. Also the scales are genuine stag. Overall length is just under 7" and the blade is just over 3". Maximum handle thickness is about .585" and the blade is .090" thick so it is a bit thick overall for a dress knife. Boker lists the blade as 3 1/8" long but I measure it as closer to 3 1/16". Either way this could be a problem if you live in an area which limits carried knives to blades <3".
No clip on the knife, it is a classic medium size pocket knife. Boker lists the weight as 4.1 ounces but I measure mine at 3.8 ounces. The blade opens via a classic fingernail nick and operation is not too stiff for a new knife.
Overall an attractive gentlemens dress carry knife at a reasonable price. The single blade is marked as 71 layer Damascus steel and the bolsters are also Damascus. I find the Damascus to be very attractive appearing. All steel construction except for the stag scales. Fit of the scales is not perfect but IMO falls in the acceptable category considering the knife's street price of about $84. List is supposedly $130. The joints between bolsters and scales are feelable but the visible gaps are reasonably narrow. I could get a piece of 20 pound printer paper into the widest gap.
Per the box the knife came in it is made in China. I have no idea of the quality of Chinese Damascus but will be finding out it seems. Hopefully better than Pakistani Damascus.
Photo available on the Boker web site. Sorry but I am not a photographer. Model number of this knife is 01BO028DAM.
