Hey Chad and Terry!

You're both BUSTED!!:p

I saw the Trance on the German site, you guys have been holding out on me. When can we expect that one?

Scott Scott Scott!!!!!! Pics Pics Pics!!!!! or at least the Link!!!! Doc:D

This is getting so unfair.:D

Scott's right, they have been holding out. Is this one also going to have "the vairiants"?

No response yet huh?:p

They're both hiding, because they know there's going to be rioting in the streets for withholding THAT one:cool:

Aloha ALL,

Cripes...this is getting crazy.:p

I mean, first some Knifebro's of mine get an All Black SF CE, and I have yet to get one myself! THEN...

My Trance design is unveiled over at the Boker Germany site, and I had NO clue that it was THAT far into production!

No blaming Terry for this either. I will assume full responsibility for keeping this one on the downlow. See, there was nothing for me to say about this model until I knew what stage of developement it was in. Now that I know by this pic however...

This is my Trance model. It is *supposed* to be an AO, and Boker's first!;) Normally, I do not like these Carson Flippers too much, but the Trance's one is different. It sticks out minimally, and does NOT get in the way on flat surface cutting. The thing I do like about Carson's Flipper is the fact that it acts as a great guard!

Ergonomically, IF Boker followed my protoplastic design of it...well, let's just say you will all be quite taken by it. The somewhat "odd" shaped handle prevents rearward slippage, and of course the Carson Flipper prevents forward slippage. From what I remember (:o ) after having made the protoplastic, you can hold this one in all grips...Edge up, Edge In, Normal, and reverse.

I have NO clue about the materials used on this one, or if Boker actually managed to make an AO mechanism for it.

Will keep you all posted, and FWIW, I am just as surprised as you are!

God bless and man...I cannot wait for this one.;)

Chad I already have one of those also.........LOL........just kidding;) Can't wait!......... I like it already!!! Doc:D

PS...I can already imagine how Potterma is gonna molest this one!

I had no idea about this one either.
I knew something was in the works, but had not heard of
anything being as concrete as the picture suggests.
As far as time frame, who knows. AFAIK, no one here in the
USA branch as any info on it, it is a German thing.
Take care all,
TJT

Here`s another important question , What other designs are you hiding from us ?
He has lots of them that I have seen...I won't share any of the design concepts;) or details as you can understand that;) but I can tell you the future is bright and exciting for CLB designs...some that I have seen are simply awesome....that being said don't wait for what's coming as there are designs of Chad's out there now....SE, CE, Subcoms are a must have, Tan, Black...and don't forget the Spyderco Lava, another awesome design by Chad...yep this boy from Hilo is going places...you too can share in the experience....isn't it what its all about anyway...Doc:D

So when are you giving us a balisong Mr. Chad? I've seen some of the other CLB designs from places like Chax Knives and I really like what I see. Mr. Chad, you have become one of my favorite designers.

Here's what the ad copy says when tranlated by Babelfish:

The Chad a feeling for small, compact measurers does not only have, shows its newest draft. It connects a strong and wuchtige AUS-8-Klinge in elegant way with an ergonomically formed grasp from glass-fiber reinforced plastic. The blade locks like the model Subcom over the proven Frame LOCK. The high-grade steel tie-clip always holds the Trance at your equipment access ready. Overall length 16.7 cm. Blade 6.8 cm. Weight approx.. 90 g.

If I can convince him to admit that his Bali designs is good, I might be able to convince him to make one. He's too humble.:p
