Whats the spine and blade thickness on this going to be...I have one pre ordered already, this knife is B-A-D!

Let me check this on Monday, back in the office.
I guess, I have a sample / proto laying around...

What do you mean by spine thickness??? The thickness of the back of the blade??

Sorry, it took a little longe, I had to wait, until the knife returned.

Thickness: 5 mm
width: 3,8 cm

It is quiet a beast, feels pretty stout in your hand, nice weight, but not bulky.

I hope this helps

So what's the deal with this one? Been watching it for a while but it keep getting delayed, and the MSRP has gone up by $35, and still no words on actual release.

Supply of sheaths is the answer to both these questions. I have the knives in stock, but do not have sheaths. According to the supplier, they are still working on them, and I will post here when I get them.

I really wanted to buy this knife when the MSRP in the last catalog had the price at $99. Knowing the street price would be a bit less, it was looking like a sweet deal. Yesterday I received the new catalog and the price for the Same knife is $169. A $70 increase and the damn thing isn't even availiable yet. The only thing I can see different is the color of the handle material went from tan to black. Is there anything else different to justify the price increase?

Saw this beauty in the catalog and couldn't believe the price.A real disappointment that it's now $169.95

Even at $169.95, it is still going to sell for around ~$125. In fact, I just saw it for sale, at one of the popular internet centers that sale knives, for the price of $105 ( NOT intended as deal spotting ). The list price was $169.95, so that is a deeper discount than I thought. Even at $125 it is still a good buy I would think. It does go from the standard 440C that B-P usually has as their blade material, and they do a great job with it, up to D2 steel.

Boker still has the market on $100 fixed blades.:D

Is there anything else different to justify the price increase?

One of the biggest reasons that caused a price increase was getting a proper kydex sheath to provide with the knife.

I see some ROLD on evil bay, are they starting to release? One seller has them for about $85 shipped.

I'm having trouble finding out what country these are made in. Can someone here help me with that information?
