I posted a this question in the general section but didn't get a response. Just wanted to know if anyone owns this knife (Tom Krein model) and their impressions/opinion. I have been looking for a short heavy-duty fixed blade that is reasonably priced. Thanks.

I own one. My feelings are mixed. The kydex sheath is horrible loose. I probably got a bad sample. On my other Böker Plus knives I had no problems with the kydex.

The there is the knife itself. It is sturdy. It is comfortable in the hand. But it is heavy like a brick. The tang is 4.7mm thick inside the handle, on actual blade the thickness is 4 mm. I do not understand the logic behind these sort of reversed tapered tang. For comparision a F is 0.5mm thicker, offer almost 3 cm more blade length, but is a lighter knife.
The only use I have for this little beast is as a heavy duty small kitchen knife.

Thanks for the input!
AF, I'm sorry but not interested in a custom knife (wish I had the money, LOL!)
I own the smaller Bowie version (Tom Krein) and it's a neat little knife, so I may add the PSK to my collection.
