Picked this up via our BladeForums dealer BladeHQ, great folks to work with, here's a link to the orange handled one, as they have a nice video of the knife on that link Here but they also have the black G10 which is the one I bought.

Price is very good, be warned it is from that far away land that some will not want to bother with, but the quality, at least on this one, is very good.

Blade is large, just about 4", handle is just under 5" so it's not a small knife, and the angular shape of the handle? For me that put me off getting this for a while, but as I was on a mission for a brute to compliment my traditional pocket knives, I caved in and got one and the handle is actually very comfortable, the clip shown here doesn't intrude into your palm much at all. On the other side there are some very grippy grooves cut into the handle and makes it easy to grip and draw the knife out. I included a braided leather fob, with the ever present skull there ;) and the skull provides a place for my pinky to latch on and draw it out quickly with that.

Blade steel is 440C, some will pooh hah that as being OLD stuff, but hey! I'm old too ! haha but it does take a very good edge, it arrived quite sharp, I've lessened the profile angle slightly and it cuts very well, blade isn't too thick, just really wide and a word about the wideness, in food prep you can easily grip the spine of the blade as some 'fancy' chefs will do, works great.

I give it a thumbs up, it comes with a nice combo torx wrench, one end for the pivot, the other for the scale screws, plus there is a second clip that will allow you to wear the knife tip down if that's your preference. Being a right handed type of lock, the clips only are allowed on the one side and not both.

Here's a quick pic of mine, while I don't know any thing about the folks that collaborated with Boker on this, "Sniper Bladeworks" their logo is kool and a I for one really like this design...just remember, I told ya it's big ;)

Well, a close friend sent out a Kershaw Junk Yard Dog II and when you lay the handles on top of this folder, they follow pretty close, but the S2's blade is obviously wider and the point is much lower, plus flat ground a bit higher, all in all, this has kicked out any other folders, besides my traditional lot, out of my front right pocket. ;)

Now the JYD2 is also very nice, don't get me wrong, but for me, my preference...today...is for this lowered point style, not a straight wharncliff, as it has a gentle sweeping curve to the blade, cuts very nice and handles well for such a wide blade.

It's sizeable for sure, but, sometimes ya need something like that, quickly.

One thing about it too, there isn't a notch before the edge starts, no place for material to get snagged on, which is a major pet peeve of mine, so I was glad to see it not there ;)
