I recently came into posession of a Boker Sky Walker. It's not really my cup of tea, but the knife itself is quite interesting. It's very lightweight (titanium and carbon fiber handles), and very smooth.

I'd never heard of the knife before, but I've found them for sale on the i-net, especially on eBay. I was surprised to see how much they were going for.

How popular are they?

How many were made?

What's a good price for one in near mint condition without box?

I can't give you a price, but I can tell you a story.
I'm pretty sure it was at my first knife show back in 1998. Michael Walker had a table and I got a chance to talk to him a little. I asked him what knife he carried and he took out of his pocket a Sky Walker. He had made an alteration, he had removed the thumb stud, and he opened the knife by using the tang of the blade. I asked him why he carried the Boker and his answer was, "It was free."

I've always liked that knife, I'm sorry I never got one.

On the inside of the liner lock (or frame lock, depending on how you look at it), I noticed the number 1061 that appears to have been stamped into the titanium before anodizing.

Is this a grade of titanium, or is it a number specific to my knife?
