I just started using a Subclaw as a keychain knife and I think it's awesome. Good build quality; a lot of knife in such a small package. With keys (or paracord) attached, it's easier to get a decently strong grip. I think pikal would be possible, though my first instinct would be to use it as a slasher with a saber grip.
I like it so much that I'll probably replace it with a Subcom on the keychain for pure utility use and easier sharpening, since I carry a karambit anyhow. I think the Subclaw/Subcom designer has a real winner, especially considering the modest price.
