Does anyone have any experience with the Boker 45 Cal bolt action pen? I want to get it but I'm not sure it looks like a great "tactical" pen. Would it be any less useful than any other pen? It is a really cool pen but I don't see a striker on it like other ones I have.

Edit: I just got it in the mail yesterday and i really like the way it writes! It is very smooth and the bolt is fun to fidget with in class. As far as defense use, it will work quite well with the flat part on the top. The integrated clip is also a nice feature. +1 for Boker on this!

I have the grey (Ti looking) version, and while it really is a great pen, I can't comment on the "tactical". It feels very sturdy and solid though, maybe a little shorter than other "tactical" pens.

It does work very well for writing though, very comfortable in my hands (glove size 9).
The integrated clip is a great idea too, no more broken clips. The coating is pretty tough, I carried the pen in my pocket for ~1/2 a year now and it has only scrubbed off a little in some places.

Make sure you get the 2nd gen though, they can use Lamy mines and the tip doesn't come off so easily (a problem with the 1st gen).

2nd gen is out for quite a while now,1st gen is out of production, but some stores might have old stock.
