I've been jumping from site to site and each one lists different specs on this knife. Some say it's 420, some say it's 440C. Some say it's made in Solingen, Germany, other say it's made in Argentina. I'm hoping that someone here has a definitive answer.

Thanks!

:)

Sir,
Welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately, there is no definative answer. Some were made in Germany
of 440C, and some were made in Argentina.
I would check witht he retailer you are purchasing it from, and have them check the tang stamp for what it says.
Thanks, Terry

Will the tang say what it's made of, or only where it's from? I don't suppose the ones made in Argentina are also 440C?

Thanks for the quick response! I think it's awesome that this board actually has a Boker rep.

Some will say the blade steel, some will not.

You are right about the Argentinian blades, they are either 440A, or a 420
variant.
Thanks, Terry
