well the only folder I have had in the last 15yrs is a Boker Top Lock which I got from a catalog about 5yrs ago... I have used it for cutting fishing line to recently cutting roofing shingles in the middle of a course. (wont do that again.. something in the shingles attacks the metal, not bad but, wont do it again) And I really like the look, the feel and ability to get the job done... I did notice that after awhile I had to tighten up the screws that hold it together, simple twist with an allen wrench *sorry for spelling* and it was as good as new. Over all, I give the knife a thumbs up!

O I forgot to say that I also like the locking mechanism.. I have small children.. and it makes me feel better knowing they cannot get it open by accident!

I also like the folder. I have the small and large version of it. The only downside is that they should have a pocket clip on all of their TopLocks.

... and it's easy to put them into pieces for cleaning.

Even Speedlock - the automatic version.

I'll admit to owning one too. I like the way the finish on the aluminum handles feels. Nice substantial feel to the whole thing. Very classy looking. I just need to find out how to convert it into an auto. I wish the steel were a little better quality, although, mine doesn't do too much hard work. Overall, I'm surprised we don't hear more about them here on the forums. Over on BladeAuction.com they are selling quite a few of the autos for less than $50 starting bid, and most are going for that price. I think Ebay has quite a few of the regular ones for cheap too.

Now all this thinking has got me to wanting one of the Burlwood handled Top Locks. I may just have to get another knife.
