Got the new mag and these are all in there. Interesting thing is the descriptions on these particular knives differ somewhat in that they include, HRC rating, more info regarding materials and emphasize features. Don't remember these type of blades being there last year....... Maybe the bigger corporations feeling a bit threatened by online biz? Prices seem lower than should be in this magazine as well? Interesting.

I've seen more competitive prices from a lot of the mail order companies. I'm sure it has more to do with on-line dealers than with anything else. The on-line dealers are growing at unbelievable rates and the rest of the industry is frightened and angry about it. The status quo is changing pretty rapidly. It's not only fun to be watching this whole thing in the industry, but it's even more fun to participate from the on-line dealer point of view. It's all a good deal for knife consumers and not so good a deal for the traditional cutlery distribution channels. That's for sure. Take care.

Yeah, it is really interesting. From their approach (Cabela's) it makes a consumer want to be even more loyal customer to online Dealers....... The only descriptions that changed were these specific knives. They still had a lot of others that featured the less technical descriptions kinda like they were holding onto the past hoping that 'consumer awareness' was really a fad that 'might' go away??????????!

What? I used to like the magazines that described g-10 as plastic, aluminum as metal, plastic as carbon fiber, etc.
