Some of you may have seen my post about my gift to my best man, (Benchmade 551-1 in 20cv with black AWT scales) and I want to keep the "knife" theme going with my groomsmen. Two of them are "knife guys" and the other 3 aren't. So I thought I'd look into 1 piece multi tools. I found this Boker Toucan thing, and I thought it would be a neat idea to get them each one and have it engraved with their initials. Worst case scenario, it goes in a junk drawer and never gets used, best case scenario, they actually use it. It looks really functional though. Any thoughts? Good or bad idea?

Well, I would still take a hard look at the Victorinox Alox Cadet, which is about the same price. It also has a plate for you to engrave their names or initials on. Colors are red, black, and silver. If you are lucky you can find the dark blue 2015 model.

I definitely second the idea of an alox SAK. The Toucan is a fun little necker, but a Pioneer or Cadet is a thousand times classier and more appropriate for a wedding.

I don't know. Based on a quick Google search for pricing, those seem pretty steep for what you get. I'll echo the other guys' sentiments and suggest an alox SAK. Or maybe some keychain-sized Leatherman tools. The Micra is a classic for a reason.

That BM was a nice gift for your best man. Good choice. I think the black or silver Alox Cadet would match it and the groomsmen's tuxedos, best. Get one for yourself. You will love these things.
