Hello,
I'm planning on getting the boker trance and CRKT premonition. I'm just wondering what other people's opinions are on these knives. Pictures would be much appreciated so I could see yours and how you like it.
Thanks for any help, Matty.

I like my Trance a lot. I keep the Subcom, Trance, and M-Type together, taking whichever is most appropriate. Usually, that's the Trance, but they are all reliable workers.

Iv only handled a premonition but, it felt good, I own a summa and its lightning fast!

Oh and just in case you dident already know its tip down right hand carry only.

Yup I saw that. That's my preferred method. Not sure why, but I always found that most comfortable.

I sold my trance once and I am getting another one. I have never sold a knife and bought it back later.

Ergonomics on all of Daywalker's designs is excellent, especially on the Trance. My first look, I thought it looked clumsy. But like Spydercos, you need to hold it, not see it.

My hand wraps around it perfectly, and I especially like extending my thumb over the back of the blade where it dips just forward of the handle. I thought I would get the drop point when it came out, but decided to stay with the original since the tip is very useful.

Also like so many Spydies the Trance is almost weightless. That's part slimness and part balance. CLB -- Chad Los Banos!

I have a Summa and a Premonition. I love them both. As 9blades said the Summa is lightening fast to open and the Prem is almost as fast. Both have buttery smooth actions and are good flippers. The Prem is just a baby Summa. Ergonomics are fantastic on both although I do like the Summa better but I'm a big blade kinda guy. Buy one. You won't regret it. It's a steal value wise.

OK, the man said Summa, that's a nice looking knife. So I looked up the Premonition. 8Cr14MoV for the steel, that's in a class with AUS8, a good working steel.

Both mine hold a great edge. Very similar to VG10 in my opinion.

Never had a Premonition (of either the CRKT or paranormal variety :D), but the Trance is a sweet little knife for sure. I have two. Like Esav says, they're very comfy to use, as well as being excellent cutters and durable. Don't hesitate to pick one (or more) up.

Like Mr. Sogetsu, the Trance is the only knife I've parted with that I bought again. I wish Boker would come out with a slightly beefed up version with better steel of the Trance because that could possibly be -THE- best folder I would own. As it is now, I love the Trance anyhow.
