i'm getting some blade play, and the blade is becoming very off center... any fixes, or does Boker have a send-in style fix like some of the bigger companies (BM, Kershaw)
do.

thanks all!

We have a Boker USA forum here at Bladeforums, with company representatives moderating it. They can answer your questions better than anyone in the General Knife Didscussion, so ... I'm moving the thread there ...

T6 for scalescrews and T8 for the pivot should do the trick.
These framelocks are very easy to dimantle and assemble again. There might be some lint dirt in pivot area which needs to be cleaned out. You can also if doing so examen the pivot screw and blade tang for irregular stuff.
;)

good explantion Maarten. I couldn't leave a decent reply because I was surfing on my cell phone - you know how the T9 code sucks.

I've dismantled my Trance 2 months ago after experiencing unacceptable amount of blade play. Cleaned it, put it back and returned the pivot back to its rightful place. No problem since then even with intense daily use.

jp101, follow the wise words of Maarten and thou shall be rewarded with the upmost satifaction

Most hardware/tool stores should have the Husky (or similar "rebranded" 8-in-1 Torx drivers). Quality is fairly decent, hardened Torx heads, just go easy as you adjust, smooth steady motion, and don't overtighten.

Mahalo guys for helping out jp101 with his situation.

Sometimes my stuff gets like his, and a tiny adjustment in pivot always does the job!

God bless you my Knifebrothers!!!
