I was looking for a moose pattern traditional knife and came across the Boker USA Great American Story Knives model 1785 Monroe Doctrine knife made in 1977. I didn't realize Boker had made knives in the USA.
I was wondering about the vanadium steel they used. What steel is it or an equivalent? I was wondering about ease of sharpening and edge retention of this steel.
