Boker "USA" ???

new to boker knives....

what is the designation "USA" on a boker knife? Assumptions are that it is produced in the USA, while the "Boker" by itself is made in Germany?

or perhaps it's made in germany, to be exported to the USA?

If it's made in Germany they mention:SOLINGEN GERMANY.They have also other factories but not in Germany.

It could also mean that the knife is older, and made when there
were still Boker factories in the US.
There haven't been any US factories since 1984, I believe, but I maybe
off by a year or two.

thanks for the info...

found two gun show specials, they do appear to be old, and are marked "BOKER USA"

sort of new at slipjoints, still reading about the histories, etc...

which leads me to this question...

seing how that many knives are made by other companies, the 80's and earlier
Boker USA knives, were they made by Boker USA, or by one of the other companies?

The new Boker BO012 Subcom is a Boker USA knife. This Subcom is made in the USA. By the way is a nice little knife.
