Hi,

I wondered if anyone could help me, I've had it for 15years picking it up from a bootsales. Please see link above.

The brand is Boker and has been confirmed by Boker themselves. Below is the email.

Hi,

As best I can tell, based on the tang stamp, this is a ‘sportsman’s’ model, made sometime between 1869 – 1880. It is VERY RARE. Unfortunately, we do not have any other information as the factory was destroyed in 1944.

As the metal may be brittle at this point in its life, I would be careful NOT to open it much. Also, I would take care to keep it oiled to further prevent rusting and deterioration.

No worries at all! I struggled myself to attach the image…. I understand the rules once I read. Just wanted to post it to see if anyone had seen one of had any info on this as even Boker themselves didn’t even know much

You might be correct. Victorinox first sold in 1890's.
